How to reach Driving Licence Office at Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad

I have recently shifted to Vijayanagar Colony. I want to renew my Driving License, How to reach Driving License Office or Regional Transport Office (RTA Office) at Mehdipatnam?

The Driving License office or the Road Transport Office is located between Mehdipatnam and Toli chowki.  If you move from Mehdipatnam Chowrasta towards Toli chowki, you will find the Driving licence renewal office to you left side; it comes after the Ring Road Junction and before the Toli chowki chowrasta.  It is opposite to Kendriya Vidyalaya school.

Driving License – Road Transport Authority - location

A driving license is an official document that states that a person may operate one or more types of motorized vehicles, such as a motorcycle, car, truck, or a bus, on a public roadway without in-vehicle supervision. The laws relating to the licensing of drivers may be different in different areas.  Usually a person in order to get a license should pass a driving test, along with others tests like optical test and symbols recognition tests. Some areas it is easy to get a license and in some areas it is a herculean task to get the license.

When I took my first driving license, the body issuing the driving license was RTA – Road Transport Authority and at that time if you go to any of their office there were more private agents who were exploiting the people who came to avail the services of the RTA.  The RTA official was highly uncooperative and it was left to the agents to deal with them and it was easier to approach an agent and get the driving license than following the statutory route.  However in the recent times the system has improved and the corruption has greatly reduced and it is not bit easier to get the driving license if we follow the right route.  However in spite of much changes, we still find the private agents who are willing to provide the license for a fee, but their services are now clipped and it is better to go directly to the concerned official. As we all know that as per Motor Vehicle (MV) Act 1988, a valid Driving License is necessary to drive any motor vehicle on public roads.

A person should have completed 16 years of age for driving motor cycles below 50 cc and 18 years of age for motor cycles above the capacity of 50 cc. In order to drive a transport vehicle a person should have completed 20 years of age.  All those who are above 50 years and applying for Non-transport licenses and those who are applying for transport vehicle license needs to produce a Medical certificate. There are two type of license the first one is at the time of learning and it is known as learner’s license and one the stipulation is completed then they can apply for a permanent license and that license is also known as permanent license. When a person obtains learners license, he has to follow some of the instruction of the RTA, whilst driving the vehicle.
