I
have Lenovo Laptop (Think Pad), I am
using the charger provided by the Company and it was working perfectly
fine. But last two days I am finding
that the battery is not full and I have tried different combinations and
checked almost everything but not successful in getting the battery to be charged. What should I do now to get the battery to be
charged; now on 23% charge is available.
It shows the message – Plugged in not charging. How can I make sure that
recharging starts in my laptop. Please advice.
Lenovo laptop was being
used by me few days before and I had the same problem. Sometimes when you do not switch off your
computer this type of problem occurs. I
will suggest you to switch off your laptop and then wait for a few second and
then you can restart your computer and most probably your problem will be
solved.

A lithium-ion battery is a rechargeable battery type. The lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging. Li-ion batteries use an intercalated lithium compound as one electrode material, compared to the metallic lithium used in a non-rechargeable lithium battery. The electrolyte, which allows for ionic movement, and the two electrodes are the consistent components of a lithium-ion cell.

Lithium-ion batteries
are common in consumer electronics. For
notebooks or laptops, lithium-ion cells are supplied as part of a battery pack
with temperature sensors, voltage converter/regulator circuit, voltage tap,
battery charge state monitor and the main connector.
Li-ion batteries are
considered as non-hazardous waste. The metals extracted out of the batteries
are recycled. They are also considered as rechargeable battery, storage
battery, secondary battery. The laptop
will get hot due to usage. Hence
adequate precautions need to be taken whilst working on the laptop as it will
be harmful the body, if the body is directly in touch with the hot part of the
laptop. There are covers available in
the market to avoid direct contact of the laptop with the body.
Many companies are making laptops. Laptops are convenient computers. It can be used while doing other simpler
activities. Like we can use it in the
bed, it can also be used at the time of breakfast or taking lunch and
dinner. The different brands of laptops
and different specifications of laptops often make the customer confused. Hence it is always better to buy a brand or
the system which we know are able to handle it comfortably. Lenovo is not at all a bad company but in
fact they are the world’s leading personal technology companies. I have also used the Toshiba brand of laptops
but had one problem with it as it used to get heated up soon. The heat was so high that sometime it was
difficult to place the laptop on the lap.
There are other brands like Dell and HP brands. Any laptop if we buy will be able to perform
the similar functions. The laptops should be handled carefully in order to have
a maximum life of it.
